It's a little tough in winter with the shorter days. Spring/summer is much easier but I have to be careful or I'll work out in the yard til the sun goes down. Gonna be shipping a few outta here soon.

Think first hatch may be roundhead. That pullet is up to 7 and I threw the first 3 or so. An egg a day for a while now. Hopefully she'll go Broody and not be like some that lay a ton before. Blue hen also layed today.

We need a few days of freezing weather to kill some mosquitoes and this vegetation growing in the area lakes. This rain is causing more of both.

It ain't much different here with the vegetation in the lakes. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and start using weed guards. I hate em.

Had to fix this guys roost. He slipped out, no big deal it's dark. Well even though I needed a headlamp the black in the pen in front could see him just fine. Two kicks and bloodied his d*mn feet. Ahh just another day.

That black absolutely hammered the wire too. Thankfully he didn't mess up his spurs.
