Sorry no. Only the breeder would know. We can't with a typical red bird much less a blue that's all over the place in color in color and pattern.

I might be able find the definition in print if need be but Pyle basically means white main color instead of normal. So yeah other kind can be Pyle. It's been a while since I seen it.

K thanks flypen. I didnt get the chance to meet the owner as i recieved stag from a friend who couldnt tell me much other than was supposed to be some "good chickens". And he knew the man and his reputation in the pits and my friend just called it a blue
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've never been to anybody's house where they said " see all these birds? Ain't none of them worth a sh*t " lol everybody in their eyes has "good chickens"
Really, all u can go by is what's known. Could be from some ace stock. Try to dig up some background. Somebody knows something

So, if he has no blue genes what is in his make-up? I know he is a Spanish game, but in any chicken ( game or non game) that I've ever bred to get the pyle or splash color it took a blue gene to produce it.
He is mixed ... Mother was Red Pyle Modern Game... Father was mixed American of my wild type (Hatch, Leiper, Grey, pure white Spanish).

maybe blue genes were used to create that line of Pyle Moderns... ?

I don't know, there's a lot of different types of blood there. I could be totally wrong but in my past experience with the pyle or splash colors, it took a blue gene to create it.
