You need a continuum of how land is used. Purely natural areas without some facilites will make nature less appealing or valuable to most people. Their reduced interest goes hand in hand with reduced support. Kinda of like game fowl issues we are facing now.
Your correct. My way would be hardly any facilities at all. I do understand that isn't the best for support. I also see the negatives it causes though. I've seen pit toilets put in where they weren't necessary. I've watched very nice secluded streams become a party spot all because you don't have to dig a sh*t slit anymore.

Also with the support you gain from the public that like the idea of more modern amenities you also lose from the other side. It's usually the other side that pays the bills from hunting, fishing, boat ramp licenses.
To some anything with a tree and some water is wild.

I am looking to visit the Florida panhandle to do a little fishing and hit some springs with kids. Any suggestions on fishing in area and towards Tampa where I have kin?

Not trying to nitpick but I don't think Tampa is "panhandle". But as long as it's Gulf it's my kind of sand.

Now that I've jumped into someone else's conversation..........

I picked up a new pullet yesterday. I think she's a grey, but this wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong.

Ok, that was my second guess, or at least something along that line, since she has similar hackle colors as my brown red hen.

Congrats on hatch chicks.. I see some solid dark ones? maybe brown red?

Its a bit early to be loosing neck feathers... maybe stress?

Some spurs will grow back if they have a nub still.. if they broke off completely, flush to their leg than probably not.

Yup, they are brownred.

Stress? But both at the same time?
Maybe it's their regular molt schedule...I have noticed that down here in Texas compared to more eastern states, things tend to start a little sooner, chicken wise.

Well that's sad to hear because I'm sure both broke off flush at the leg. Dang
