I don't raise gamefowl for eating. I have a few laying hens for eggs but thats about it.

Raccoons woke me up around 4 am. I thought I was already being hard on em. Birds were going nuts. Seems as though they are after my free ranging pullets. Guess I'm gonna have to step it up a notch or two.
By the way shubin that last raccoon makes 21 since last spring and they keep coming. All from the same trap locations in my yard. Not going extinct anytime soon.

someone told me they need extra special place an care, i dont have place ffor some like that now. i have 2hen 1white an 1 black/white they good hen give eggs an cluck sweet. i just have to look at yours an wish

They are amazing birds. Nothing exists in the world that has the same amount of courage and toughness of a gamecock. They require a lot of attention and care. Hours daily for me. The fact that many come in different colors and are beatiful to look at is just a bonus.
