3rd hatching, caught the cat with one of them in her mouth. She's dang good at killing mice and other pests but I can't have her killing my dang chicks.

Beautiful hen Flypen! She is in great condition even after setting. What is the speckled chick?

I've watched the cats closely while I've had hens with chicks loose. I've had the cross hairs on a few cats while they were getting a little too close. Never had a problem with the cats that grew up around here just have to watch for any new ones that show up.

Second that. Our cats never bother the chicks, it is strays that I have to watch.

Yes sir, I like everything but the water trays. They need to be about a 1/4" deeper so you can refill every 48 hrs instead of every 36

One second later this pullet pecked the cat on the top of his head. Half the time I have to stop the birds from beating up the cats lol

Dom stag here. Make your own by crossing dom with hennie then back breeding to hennie side so you can get some full hennie and half dom which hard to tell from full hennie / dom. Other direction will not give so similar as desired.

Here about is the miner blue rooster I picked up. Nice and solid. Feathers look rough he just got out the box. Also new coop is 16x20 and has two- 5x16' pens and 4 - 4x10 pens

The hatch white ( I believe) are in a collapsible pen $40. 4-5x5-6'. By 5' high.

Saw a scarlet tanager today. Wierd to see one this time of year especially with snow yesterday and a storm coming.

I am seeing Fish Crows and Black Vultures. Normally, they never come this far north even during summer. Songbirds also early by a couple of weeks.
