Some towns your not "allowed" to bury dogs in your yard. I live in a rural area. He's a farm vet.
I've had dogs all my life and this is the only vet I like. The rest are all about money and bullsh*t medicines, heart guard etc.. with a little research you can save a ton.
You should have seen the look on this one vets face when I asked about cropping and docking. He looked as if he's seen a ghost. D*mn weenies.

my vet I like, he looks like he could be a mad scientist or rock star. He docks and crops no problem he did my female I pictured and a couple others and always came out great. Seems like vets have a tendency to chop off Pitts ears and I don't like that

My parents used to raise dobermans a long time ago. They were on shaky ground with my dad when they learned to jump the 6' privacy but after one got out and chewed all the wires under his car that was a wrap

Yeah well I live in the land of oz and there is a lot of lefties around here.
I don't like that real close crop or any kind of "show" crop with 8 inch ears. Somewhere in the middle is good for a Doberman and a little lower like yours looks good for pit bulls.

Dobermans are very intelligent. He's a huge loss for me. Gonna keep myself busy tonight hunting the fox that's acting like he owns the joint. A nice fresh fox tail to tie up some saltwater flies would put a smile on my face.

I think it's easier to do the close crop with not much chance of them falling back over like might happen if they were longer. Then again there's less to grab a hold of too

it doesn't look like it takes too much skill either unlike doing them so when they heal they're symmetrical and stand right like u said
