Just had some fun! Big wind came through. Blew off coverings of most pens and birds all riled up. Many roosting ground tonight. Also motorcycle and two beehives overturned. Crap.
that sucks. Will that screw up your beehives? I've been interested in getting a colony but I don't really have the time for another hobby at all. There's a place real close to my house that's supposed to be one of the largest honey prouducers in the country that sells hives and all.

Back and alive. Another storm came through causing me to take kids into safe room. Less damage from wind this time.

Biggest concern for hives is to have queen smashed. That will have to be checked for in about 4 days. Queen smashed if new queen cells started. They do take a little time but chickens require a great deal more. Hives for me also work related and I get help from students on some bigger activities such as cutouts and building actual hives.

Welcome Thai!

I like her coloring, but her feathers look a little tattered? Is everything ok in the pen?

What are you plans for her? Cross breeding with Thais or keeping pure?

Thank u. I'm planning to breed her to my red hatch since I have no pumpkin rooster. She was giving to me a few weeks ago and that's how she was. Her cage she is in now is big

Should have some interesting colors with that cross. You have a picture of the red hatch? Black breasted Red?

He looks pretty good... I like big hackles like that. Again tail feathers a little tattered but that's just superficial.

He is pretty young still judging from the one spur I can see..
