What are you up to with this? There is a very strong genetic component to their capacity for flight that interacts with "culture". The flightiness helps with some, but my best fliers are not flighty. My stronger flyers will open up to cross a field or go down the road because it is the most efficient way to get between two points. There is some really cool variations in flight profile you will not appreciate until you see chickens engage in trimmed out flight where they can go a hell of a lot farther and faster than chickens are credited for on the wing.Is there a line of American gamefowl that's known for being exceptionally good flyers? ///
The Asian game breeds will exception of those with the long flight feathers are not good fliers for reasons related to feathering, weight distribution and possibly muscling. I have seen game fowl keepers advocate their capacity for flight, even guys that had games for quite a while but have yet to see such flying efforts that were impressive or even average.
Yes, I am back and left most of Florida behind save some bluegill.
