I grew up shooting recurves, you'll love instinctive style shooting. I still have a Bear bow that 40 something years old. Bowfishing is fun and very good practice.

Yeah. I was looking at the cheaper Martin takedowns but they have a metal riser that's drilled and tapped for a rest and sight. I wanna shoot instinctive off the shelf. I'm looking at a Bodnick slick stick longbow in either #50 or #55. $350
It's pretty basic with bamboo limbs but that's all I need. Don't need to pay for all kinds of fancy accent wood.
