I'll get to him as soon as it cools off. I want to make sure I'm keeping them first then I'll dub them.

I don't like to ship dubbed birds either so if they stay they get dubbed. Otherwise I'll wait a bit.

Man I just tore down my entire fly tying bench and loaded it into the truck. I'm teaching a fly tying class at a youth outdoors day tomorrow. Kids 7-16 should be interesting.

Yeah. I was looking at the cheaper Martin takedowns but they have a metal riser that's drilled and tapped for a rest and sight. I wanna shoot instinctive off the shelf. I'm looking at a Bodnick slick stick longbow in either #50 or #55. $350
It's pretty basic with bamboo limbs but that's all I need. Don't need to pay for all kinds of fancy accent wood.

That's a nice looking bow for about half the price of the Howard Hill longbow I am looking at. The Fred Bear Montana looks nice to, but is pricy for what it is imo.

I'd still like a take down for the convenience, but I've come to realize that a take down can wear in those spots and cause the bow to become untuned. The upside is if I snap a limb on a take down, I can buy a new limb.

White WOlf Custom makes a nice custom longbow at a decent price.

I'm probably way over thinking things though.
