Sparring to check em out. One side steps pretty decently i like him too just wanted to check them out before hand so far no runners 2-3mins in but have alot of growing to do ill keep in check with the fella that gets em.

His one of mine he puts himself in a bind winds up on his back but gets back up and goes pretty hard but does not run nor give an inch.

Can you explain why? I thought gameness was one of the better traits to pass on.

Can't do that here where I live. Antler restrictions. It's 3 points on at at least one side. Prevents the pumpkin suits from blasting away at spikes all the time. I haven't shot a buck in awhile. I let a six walk two years ago and absolutely sh*t the bed on a nice real nice 8 pointer. Got down from my stand am here he comes. Couldn't move. Lol had to watch him walk too

Ah i see yeah we dont have that restriction here. I could have taking around 12-15 buttons and larger spikes in the same area they were everywhere last year.

I was going to give him to my mother inlaw for her barnyard flock to see how he grows. She seen how good my mclean is with people, hens and my kids so she wanting one.

The only way to check for real gameness is to spar with weapons. It's different when they start getting cut or stabbed .then you know what you have. but sence that's illegal most gamefowl will suffer since the "gameness" can't be tested. And only the "gamest" bred. So there you go, you'll never know. Youre not game testing.
