That warhorse is all ready coming around. Can tell some folks don't like to get hands on with theirs as much as I like to. Then again I have little ones and would rather not have them hurt if I can help it so I like to socialize and be hands on as much as I can.

This time of year most are still molting. All my younger stags have just been penned or are still running loose. I handle birds just about every day once they're done molting though. I rotate birds from pens to cords whenever I have time.

I use rubber. Order them from woods enterprises and don't overthink it. Get em premade with stakes and be done with it. Nylon cinch hitches for hens, and stags. I have a few Oklahoma hitches too. Whatever you like I'm sure they all work fine.

Pops says your shouldn't handle your birds while they're in molt, he says their feathers are sensitive and its very uncomfortable for the bird. I'm about to start a similar rotation to what Havoc is talking about as soon as the cocks feather out.
I kept four of the most blemished Radios, why? Idk should have culled them months ago. Toes missing, entire spurs gone. I guess I'm keeping as reminders of my idiocy and as motivation to have all my birds secured at all times.
