Yep that’ll work. Just make sure those heads are really tight to the end of the insert. If they aren’t you could bust up your arrow or ahem bolt.

Feed store was pushing free samples of their new me mxed feed. Let's analyze shall we. I did find 2 things that concert me.

Low protein for my preference... don't like that there isn't a Max on Salt listed either...

Protein low unless diet needed for maintenance only during cold weather. I burn through half feed I use during times where such feed would be appropriate. Spicing with a little fish meal would be appropriate.

I don't feed whole grain feeds, so just asking... How do birds like soybeans? That would be higher in protein and easy to add.

They eat them just fine. In a couple instances I have had birds fill up on soybeans like they do on shell corn and they got crop bound. The soybeans either swell a lot more or impact passage from crop by some other means.

Ordered me a cheek riser gonna be hunting out of a blind next weekend.

My scratch consist of whole corn, wheat,popcorn and dog food.
