How does she get them circular? Heat?
Im not sure exactly but I think it was really simple...
From what I remember she just uses thin gauge pipe and bends by hand... and uses a coupling to secure. and tapes its up as she holds it in a perfectly round shape. I think the tape does a lot to secure keep the shape.

I dont remember her using heat or glue or anything.

the hippie girls just use plastic tubing (not pvc) and a coupler to make hulahoops, my ex wife used to make them. tape adds grip so they are easier to hold its easier to do tricks
makes sense. drip tube is basically round already.
She was a raver and made all that stuff, but that was about 10 years ago, she slightly more "normal" now.

wrap the 1x2 with 1/2 inch maybe

I had a reachin on one of those medium petcarriers, this past summer, they have about inch square hole in the door, dragged rolled or pushed the carrier halfway across the yard, somehow pulled a larger chick through the 1 inch squares

I think they would try to get in where the hoop meets the ground

they're clever bastards, always looking for weaknesses

Just in case anyone wants or needs a cheek riser on down the road these voodoos are pretty decent Velcro strap type. Has ammo holder for 270-300 on other side and you can swap which side you want and take away or add height for cheek weld.

Getting a little tired of them not being on the same page.

So I have been trying to think of some very simple, but stable round pen ideas... I found a picture of this hula hoop pen and thought about using 36" hoops wrapped with 16ga 1" x 1/2" welded wire and a sheet metal top. Is this wire small enough to prevent coons from reaching in? I would have to stake them, but wanted something light enough to move quickly. These would be for miniature stags. Comments, suggestions?

wrap the bottom with 12" high .5" hardware cloth and stake them to the ground you'll be fine I'd imagine
