Yes the domes will handle the snow just fine if you attach a piece of conduit under the wire roof for support. Just screw it in to each side half way to make a hoop then attach the wire roof over top. Once the snow piles up too high it’ll just slide off. Just make sure your pens are far enough apart or the snow will pile into the pens on the left or right once it slides off.View attachment 1213635 Do the regular domes handle a lot of snow on them. I wanna build them but I don’t think they will hold up. I made these to try out for snow load and these would be for a stag or cock or emergency pen.

I think the 1/2"x1/2" is a bit more expensive and doesnt add much value... in fact I cant put the water cups on the outside of their pens. With the 2x4 they can pop their head thru and drink. It keep the cups cleaner to have on outside and easier to access IMOWhat’s ur guys thoughts on 1/2”x1/2” hardware cloth wire compared to like 2”x4”. Cause the birds around the hardware cloth seem to mess their top beak up on the 1/2” wire.
