Talk about something you have to maintain like crazy even have to run 2cyl mix. If you flood one plan on pulling the pump relay and cranking for 10mins. You can not beat on one before operating temp I had to do that twice on the side of the road also another good 80s over engineering car. I'd love to have one back but with two seats thats never going to happen.

Rx7’s were the tightest handling vehicles I’ve ever been in. Pretty damn fast too. I had a buddy in high school that had one wrecked it then got an even nicer rx7 turbo II. An Rx8 isn’t even close. More like a cheap tiburon.

See mine was the none turbo convertible but I boosted, ported etc on mine it made close to 400whp. That little weed wacker would carry the mail boys and hooked off the line like it was on bath salts. It had 275s out back about the widest I could go no low end tq to a rotary but once you hit about 4200-4500 and the boost started to build it was a quick car. Put a srt8 300c to shame we was on a back road and I was just a moving in the curves no downshifting or brakes I wasn't trying just driving quickly he could hardly keep up then a straight piece about a mile long I see he's trying to go around me well he did and right about when he made it to my fender I drop her down in third and let her breath he was never expecting to not get pulled back on by the little car. He never reved or rode my bumper again I can tell ya that. It was a blast to drive even before it was boosted!
