Those older bucks are good knives too. They moved a lot of production overseas then brought some back. Have to check closely before buying a new one now.

Yup, exactly... a friend offered to pass that one on to me since his kids and family didn't want it because it wasn't 'new'... it's outlasted many newer blades, lol...

I like a fixed blade for skinning if I can get one that is close to the metal on my case I'd be fine. I'll check out the ones you suggested.
If you like a fixed blade knife and want a little heavier duty sheath knife that will do it all I would look into Condor Tool and Knife. They are made in El Salvador. Relatively cheap for what you get and comes with a high quality sheath. I only buy 3 knives that aren’t made in America. Mora- Sweden, Condor- El Salvador and Boker (tree brand) Germany. I’m most other knives are just fine for most uses but I don’t like buying sh*t from China if I can help it.
The condors are 1075 carbon steel and are real easy to sharpen. They may not hold and edge as long as real expensive steel though. To be honest most people can’t properly sharpen a knife very well anyway so the 1075 from Condor is perfect.

I'll look into em bud appreciate it. I screen shot what ya said so I don't forget.
