I've seen that so many times, the ones you have big plans for will always be the ones something happens to. Some of them 3 ways turn out pretty dang special.I am shocked at how little the people on Facebook and at the shows know about breeding their birds. Classes in Animal Husbandry are needed)
I can tell you exactly how the first roosters we showed in late 50's and early 60's were bred (1/2 Griffin 1/4 Allen RH 1//4 unknown) they could take the butter off your toast and you never know they were there....... we were spoiled by having so many country walks and most roosters we met were coming out of roundpens. We showed one of them 3 times in one day untouched and sold him to a guy that fought on major circuit on went on to show him 8 more times and put him on yard to raise out of him and a dog killed him.
