Based on what criteria do you select your brood pullets?

Station, bone structure, legs, leg color, feathering, eye color, tail size and shape, body shape, and sometimes the size of the pullet. I don't care if they're buttermilk color or dark like she is but my buddy that I share broodfowl with likes the dark pullets the best. A select pullet is not going to be one that has not got some fire in her blood running around here telling the other pullets that she's sorry I didn't mean to get in your way. I like the more dominant pullets best, that's really not a issue with my Greys. If you look at that picture (I know you can't judge very well from a picture) what would you not like about her? I sold every cock I sent to my buddies place today except for 4 that is in fly pens, a man drive up to my buddies and offered $200 each, I said sold.

So I made this stag pen just right now after hearing havoc complain about the dog crate wire . 30 minute build and cheap with hinged roof
@lmljsl Maybe not raccoon proof but it could be with heavier construction materials.

I just have a cold same as my son. Hopefully it’s just that. I haven’t had a flu shot in 15 yrs.

Lol. Buddy seeing birds standing on wire on the ground (not elevated) drives me insane. If it’s elevated on wire there is no desire to scratch. I see it all the time.
