Looks like the 2 year old I dubbed a couple months ago. He came out ok no issues, went straight back into the brood pen without the 4 hens pecking at him. Keep an eye on him of course but I think y'all are underestimating the resilience of these birds, just a tad.

You guys need to bring in a game hen and place her nest next to head of your bed. And listen. Kids and I are as storm blows through.

The hens I have together in brood pens were all raised together. There's not one pen with a hen that is unfamiliar to the rest.

In most instances, I can combine groups of hens that are not related, even as adults. Process has patent in process. Otherwise, multiple females in a pen together has more to be concerned about with respect to female parentage where having them all as full-siblings helps reduce that concern.

Yeah I hear you but I'm collecting all the chicks and raising them myself.
The very first season of raising games, I didn't collect chicks and let's just say I only produced one stag and a couple pullets of at least 8 hens.
