He's even gonna be more stressed if other birds start pecking at the wound. Put him by himself till he heals up that is a must.

Don't worry they aren't pecking at him that's not a problem I've got 2 broody with chicks that are more worried about their baby's than pecking at him and they sort of fear him since he is new 2 the coop

Your gonna need to keep that wound clean. I wouldn’t put that rooster back in with any other birds for awhile. Might wanna separate two hens with their own chicks too.

Looks like the 2 year old I dubbed a couple months ago. He came out ok no issues, went straight back into the brood pen without the 4 hens pecking at him. Keep an eye on him of course but I think y'all are underestimating the resilience of these birds, just a tad.
