So are you inferring that birds later in the season don't come out as big as birds early in the season? If so, from which groups do you pick most of your broodfowl from? The early birds, or later birds? If that makes any sense lol
The genetics of the fowl don't change from early to late hatch, but the growing conditions do change. It is the environmental conditions that are influencing size, if there is a difference in offspring from the same broodfowl. If you want to influence size based on the genetic influence, you will need to raise a bunch at the same time and pick the biggest or smallest, whichever you prefer.

Ahhh ok, so just because I raised one late in the season, say he cocks out at 4lbs, use it as brood material, doesn't mean he's going to produce offspring that'll cock out at 4lbs too.
