Exactly why I don't buy eggs anymore, I'll take a young trio all day and the cost should be comparable. Though I will still import and export eggs as it is the only way at times. But in state I see no reason to.It is kinda funny when u think about how unnatural it is to ship eggs across the country for hatching. Heck I guess your lucky if you get any to hatch really.
I've actually done pretty well with shipped eggs for the amount of chicks I've got and price paid. Just recently haven't been having much luck. The other thing is live birds in my opinion might be picked over. I know that's not always the case but u can't pick over eggs lol. Luck of the draw.Exactly why I don't buy eggs anymore, I'll take a young trio all day and the cost should be comparable. Though I will still import and export eggs as it is the only way at times. very true and if you are lucky enough that they don't get too banged around in shipping you well fair better than getting what someone else doesn't want or need. Though like they say one mans trash is anothers treasure. The blood may do better in different breeding program.I've actually done pretty well with shipped eggs for the amount of chicks I've got and price paid. Just recently haven't been having much luck.
