That’s a good looking black rooster.
I know right hard to believe he's colored and only a yr old. I'm still waiting for the gameness, powerful accurate quick legs, and him to tame down sheesh.

What’s with the green legs on that pullet?
I thought they looked plum crazy purple shot back to the drawing board!
 
I probably will... I have no problem axing a head... but thats not how they do it on youtube. lol
I'd have a problem slitting throat, sticking knife in the vent, and cutting the legs off.
You can wait til they’re dead to cut the legs off ya know.

They look really nice. It won't be long till they are ready to harvest. They are tender little birds, a killing cone helps to reduce any bruising, broken bones, etc you would get with an ax and flopping around. A horizontal board and strings with slip knots to hold the legs is a cheap alternative to cones. Just be sure to space them out enough the they do not flop into each other.
