hen got blood thirsty I guess and killed one chick and scalped another but I took them away before she killed other six. One in this picture is from a different hatch and is a couple weeks older.
Whats her issue? Not her chicks?

7 were hers she killed one and almost another. I have no idea why but she hatched em. I wished I knew what her deal was lol
How is her weight?
Mom that only had 4 in her clutch that survived I took away today cuz she went to setting again and chicks were hanging out in the nest with her all day. So I figured it be better to seperate them and add them to the other six and put them with a mature stag that scratches around with them and watches over them. Its working so far

Weight as in by feel. Does she feel skinny? I have one underweight that always puts too much into eggs before going broody. She can be a problem mother if feed not put her quick once chicks hatch.

Good move on pulling chicks. They can be lethal hard on next brood if hen does not run the older ones off.
Are the chicks roosting with the stag at night? Does he keep his head down among them and watch real close?
Maybe a little. Should I worm her?
Yes pictures are on roost and 3 are with him but 4th is with the youger ones under heat lamp.
