Quite honestly. If you ain't doing anything illegal and you ain't got anything illegal there shouldn't be anything to worry about. But it does make me think a little about dubbing birds.

That's my point. If a game cock has to be dubbed for a show per standard. It is the same as dock and cropping dogs.
My point is if the guy was doing something illegal so be it. I still don't see how they can charge him with animal cruelty for dubbing. There are folks in cold climates that dub all birds. I thought I was gonna have to do a bunch with the frostbite, they all ended up healing just fine. I only dubbed the ruble that was real bad.

The last I'll say on the issue.
My guess is they tack on all kinds of ridiculous charges so they can drop some later in a plea deal. To expedite the process.
Not all but most of these cowboys are keeping birds in filthy conditions too. If your too lazy to keep things reasonably clean you shouldn't own animals of any kind.

Dogs can be neutered, farm animals can be castrated. Roosters can be dubbed. Imo
