Around April is our wet season although it's been pretty wet lately but no winter at all. It's about 75ish right now

Winter conditions too warm and wet can set stage for high worm burdens unless I start moving pens more frequently. I normally do not move pens as frequently during the off season because that requires moving a ,lot of pens and the perimeters that keep varmints out.

Game Chickens for Public Display

Here is something that you likely cannot do with the same ease you can do it with games. The birds are very easy to tame and handle very well the stresses of close contact even by over excited kids. I tried to do similar with a couple non-game breeds but could not get them to handle the stress. Games have been bred to for handling.

Last year it was 2 degrees on this day. I remember I was tracking a deer. Today it's about 48. Going down to 10 this week after tomorrow jumps to 65. I've only had a dusting of snow once so far this year.

Nice bird. I am absolutely sick and tired of the rain this winter. It's starting to become a nightmare. Cold enough to freeze ponds yet warms up enough for rain instead of snow every time.

It's been raining here everyday for a couple weeks, except 2 days but no sunshine at all. It has been flash flooding this morning finally about 1:00 it stopped, maybe that's it for awhile.

In some ways a mild winter is good. Bees more likely to survive through spring and fish less likely to die under ice.
