Maybe we could mine for postings of yours in this thread that would get you into a bit of physical trouble if done to someone face to face. Do not take me as a threat because I will just laugh at you as you are just silly.
believe me centra I don't take u as a threat. Talks cheap and as that say pics are worth a thousand words and yours do just that.

Many people coming into games do not come in properly prepared. That is reality. With some people that is where you need to start and it often no fault of their own. Not everyone is born into this and a good many people now recognized for knowing their way around games started out very ignorant in their initial postings. We would have more such parties if they were not effectively hazed by good old boys that apply insults before doing anything else.

There used to be very knowledgeable people on this thread. They left because of all the crazy stuff that is posted here. If you don't know that real game chickens will kill each other .....what can I say?? That is the most elementary quality of the birds. I don't have any problem teaching people about birds.....I do it all the time online, phone and in person. I wasn't born into this, but I have been doing it for over 50 years. I grew up in San Francisco.....lol...and I had games there in the 40's.

That means you have dealt with newbies numerous times. Failure rate is high but introduction to concepts takes time and many have to learn via hard knocks despite sound advice. Then they will take sage advice more readily as they come to realize its value.

I've got a question are red quils any good? Cause I've got my hands on one hen and was wondering what it would go good with

They can be pretty to look at although quality is not a function of color. Value of cross is going to be hit or miss depending as much on hen you have as cock you might breed her to. Even if both birds good resulting cross may not be. You have try and see.

The average time in chickens these days in three years. No one knows all there is to know about games and anyone who says they know it all are liars.....or just plain ignorant. In my experience ....you need to find people willing to listen.....you certainly can't force them to do the right thing. Most people think they know it all and they take chances that are very risky. Most of the time they need to see the destruction themselves. I usually don't spend a lot of time with people that already know it all. I figure if after all this time and all the successes I have had with my birds, if they don't want to at least listen, then they are on their own.

The average time in games here I suspect is less. Here in Missouri, interest in gamefowl is contracting. Oldtimers predominate and appear unable to establish relationships with enough younger people to sustain the number of people into gamefowl regardless of actual angle. In my upper forties I am still quite a bit younger than the average cocker here. This pattern holds for all forms of agriculture. We do see outright greenhorns get into gamefowl where the primary correspondence appears to be the internet. Some of the educating is better done in person with a strong hands on component. When I have met these younger guys in person still have basic husbandry challenges and put all emphasis on what they buy rather than what they put into the birds in terms of nutrition and general up keep. They also tend to ever extend themselves with with lots of birds but never develop the rearing facilities needed to allow healthy culling so only the best 25% or less are all that actually reach adulthood. Every single bird hatched seems to have a shot at a brood pen.
