Sorry for the losses but once again if chickens that have been bred throughout history to kill another chicken are freeranged with other fighting chickens and they kill one another well.............. It shouldn't be all that shocking when it happens.

I still don't understand how anyone has a 2 yr old bird within eyesight of another loose together. That would last about 30 seconds here.

no belittling. I am just wondering why it took so long to happen. Pen males no later than 6 months to eliminate risk of problems with fighting. My guess is just about everybody knows this so they are willingly taking the risk.
It comes as no surprise to most of us when they end up getting in a tussle.

One usually researches what one wants to get into so u should know the General overview and learn as u go but researching gamefowl in the least u should get the idea they need to be kept separate. I'll give any advise I can but questions need to be asked first. I will say that I don't have a tendency to slam newcomers on here like you often do cantra so u really have no right to call me out on something u regularly do centra.

I agree...it always surprises me when I see male game birds running together here on BYC. My males start trying to do in each other at about 6 weeks old. You can tell people not to do it, but most of the folks here don't know how to raise these kinds of birds and like a teenager won't believe it until they see it happen. Most of the fatalities that are mentioned here are not from wounds, but more from stress.

In addition there is a lot of strange info on this particular thread.

Many people coming into games do not come in properly prepared. That is reality. With some people that is where you need to start and it often no fault of their own. Not everyone is born into this and a good many people now recognized for knowing their way around games started out very ignorant in their initial postings. We would have more such parties if they were not effectively hazed by good old boys that apply insults before doing anything else.
