Yeah I don't like tie cords they just don't meet my safety standards for my birds. Now if they were in a closed in barn than I'd be just fine with em

Yeah shubin that's why I took the pic I was changing roofs and he was out in the open.

Maycan mine would be killed by hawks and such so no cords for me

Moving some around also to have blues on one side and red on the other

The first time I had a bird on a tie cord a possum got it and like you sdm Hawks here outnumber chickens 10 two 1

Cool otter pics. They are always fun to watch. Especially in winter pop through the ice and slide around and back down the hole.

I use tie cords all the time but not full time. Imo it's good to change it up for the penned birds. I'm always out there though and there is a loaded shotgun usually within easy reach. Works for me
