If any of you guys flyfish I'll send you flies. I tie em all the time saltwater, trout, bass and sunfish. I got more bird skins and feathers than I know what to do with. I have thousands of flies just laying around.

Only real fresh water fishing I do is bass or sacalait ( crappie ). Wish I did more fishing in general. Ima make time this year.

Yet more terms to learn. Specks for me are white crappie, black crappie and fliers. I go after all sorts of bass, panfish and once in a while trout. Crayfish even more fun and we have some even you would appreciate because the get much bigger than red swamps and white rivers.

Most of the crawfish right now are coming from the what's called the bell river which is more of a swamp. A lot of people by me go to the pearl river wildlife management area and catch their own. I haven't even had none this year yet. I don't know the different types alls I know is they red when you eat them. My wife on the other hand loves blue crabs but I think they too much work. I can put down a bunch of crawfish fast too much picking crabs

nah I never got around to it. I do tie them for some people though. I tie flies for a guy in Alaska and he sends me ptarmigan, spruce and ruffed grouse skins. Mainly I just love tying them it's relaxing. I don't live in a big fly fishing area. The only flyshing around here is done for stripers, snook and weakfish. a few people flyfish for bass, crappie and bluegills.
Most people say flyfishing takes patience. Not at all. Sitting watching a bobber takes patience! Lol
Most of the fools you see on tv with thousands of dollars worth of gear are idiots that don't even know what they are doing. People think it's s rich mans sport. No way. Nothing's better than to walk up to a stream and out fish a guy with a $75 rod compared to his $900 fancy pole. And yes I've caught myself a few times when I started.

Guess it's all in where you're at. I like making my way down a quiet bayou with a plastic worm or a sparkle beetle tipped with shrimp under a popping cork in the marsh. I've never seen or been to a stream where trout are just saw it on tv looks very tranquil

Sdm111's finest! they're so gentle you can't get them far enough away for a good picture
