some years we get a lot more snow. But this year the temps have been on average 20 degrees colder than normal for the past two months or so. Last year around this time it was between 60-70 degrees. Tomorrow dropping to 9 after all the snow. Think I heard 5th coldest year on record dating back to the 1800s.

You should feel special. The eastern US about only place on Earth experiencing the cold spell. We been warmer and losing our precipitation to you.

Finally! My left out Hatch started laying. He broke one of his sword feathers getting in and out of the nest trying to get her to lay an egg.

I am trying to film that activity but have a hard time getting camera ready. I can have a pullet / hen coming into lay that walks down a row of pens so have every cock / stag she passes try to say he has the best nest site. I wander how the pullet / hen advertises her status?
