i'am from north jax.i'am interested to buy some eggs.just started on this hobby.

First batch of my keepers ****** roundhead

He looks a lot like one I have. I'd venture to say he gets gold in his hackle and and like a deep wine on his shoulders and saddle but with mine it took a couple yrs

He's got a little bit of that dark wine growing in now on the very top of his cape. Dark blue hen has the same coloring under her chin and a little around the edges of cape.

A hen and pullet just committed to brooding clutches today. Hen is aunt of pullet and both have same father. They are part of a linebreeding effort to their father. Hen is F2 and pullet is F3. Hen will have her eggs swapped out for some from one of the hens (her grandmother) that is also being bred back to.

Hen nest outside my core perimeter to I placed a small pen over her. At night pen is down but during day it is propped up so she can get off nest and eat. I do not like feeding near free-range broodies when I can help it. Hen has 17 which is typical of high numbers early in season with free-range forages.

Pullet is in a proper breeding pen. She was topped by cock only twice, once she came into lay. Once two days before first egg allowed to stay in nest and again 5 days later. She has 12 eggs.
