yeah these things happen. I found a day old chick stiff on its back once guess it couldn't right itself
if you haven't found a dead chick from time to time you probably haven't raised many. I've lost one in a water dish too. Long time ago. I brought my brother in to show him the chicks and well needless to say I had to pull a chick outta the waterer. I tried to play it off but it didn't make me look good.

I went out side and one of my w[COLOR=141823]hitehackles got out and was kicking the crap out of a hatch stag got out just in time before he hurt the hatch[/COLOR]
Through a pen or was the hatch running loose?

1 more tying bird. Had to fix his roost figured I would take a pic of him.
 
Are they both almost a year old? I'm just asking cause most can't get away with having a loose stag of that age anywhere close to penned birds.
The whitehackle is 3 years old, I have the pens fixed where the roosters can't see each other.
