I got some cool pics of a couple stags out of a cock bred back to his mom. Cock appears partially henny feathered and was missidentified as a pullet when young like these guys. As a bullstag he looked normal but then molting into full cock feathering he went partial hennie.

Pheww just got done moving birds around. Got 5 empty pens now. Hopefully all goes well. Things got a little hectic there for a bit

I was looking at who was going with who today . I have 2 of the Pyle pullets and a lighter blue stag with a dark Mohawk stripe look with 2 dark blue main tail feathers so that's a trio, and a stag and 2 pullets that look black so that's a trio, and a splash trio, 2 round head trios,a sweater pair and trio, and the white Kelso is gonna be with his mom.

I'll be honest it gets a little confusing to say the least cause I got 4x4 pens, 4x5 and 4x8. I gotta put some young ones in them but I only have chicken wire or hardware cloth on a few. So I gotta rotate the penny hatch for the pumpkins that go out tomorrow. Then pairing up birds and set up a few miner trios. I ran out of daylight and my batteries died in my headlamp so I'll finish first thing in the morning. I finally got all the insulators on the big run but now I gotta grab a few more t posts cause there is a little slack in the existing fence and there ain't enough clearance for the electric wire.
By end of day tomorrow I should have most of it all done. On the plus side I'm back to having plenty of room to move around in between pens. I've put more holes in shirts sliding in between domes in the dark.

Put a ruble on a cord for a bit while I moved his pen. Of course here comes the peacock. Knocked a few feathers off of him and a bit of his tail fan. Lol d*mn bird don't learn. I guess he thinks cause he's bigger he can bully him. Not so.

It can get that way I have to pick a pair of 3way cross and two extra stags and I'm gonna keep prolly 2 or 3 blue stags too so I have to get off of a few more grown birds someone's coming over next weekend for that. Then in the fall I'll have one more liquidation to get ready for the spring and do it all over again.

Oh man I gotta bunch that have to go. I'll take pictures tomorrow. I believe out of the whitehackles I got 1 stag and 5 pullets they are staying. I'm keeping 3 leiper pullets. Im also gonna keep 2-3 miner stags and any ruble hens I got, possibly 1 more ruble stag. The rest can pretty much hit the road which amounts to about 25 birds or so.
4 ain't making the cut though 1- pumpkin,1 kelso/hatch, 1 penny hatch and 1 leiper pullet.

The hennie line has been crossed in to hatch(blue face) and ruble lines most of all. However like myself cockers have always recognized the superior cutting ability so they are bred into most note worthy lines of gamecocks. The legendary Albanie birds key to cutting is the hennie and hatch bloods. A stolen green legged hatch as I have heard.
