I have six chicks rigt now that hatched last week. three from each of my hens. One of the chicks i noticed has little white feathers growing on its legs. Now ive never heard of gamefowl with feathered legs. I looked it up on google and as i thougt it means there was some feathered leg blood in my hen? Or rooster? Somewhere back down the line. Ive read a few threads that said there was or is a line of hatch that has feathered legs but rare. A lot of otheres stated theyve had the same thing happen but everyone i read said the feathered leg gamefowl have been their ACES. I guess time will only tell for sure but has anyone else had this happen or seen, heard of it before? What should i do? Cull it? Im happy i got these birds and all. It gave me something to do and i enjoyed it.i had a feeling that longer neck hen wasnt pure gamefowl. Theres something about her that isnt right with gamefowl hens.

Could you show pics of questionable birds?

As for right now and these specific chickens. Its just for pleasure and for my kids. I dont plan on doing much with these particular birds now anyways. I have a pair of oscar akins lacy roundhaeds if they are what they said they were. He gets all his stock from oscar akins and rick bohn. i got these birds from NVS Warbirds in gridley ca. They advertise on sabong and a few other gamefowl breeder sights. Ive sen a lot of his birds spar and they look pretty good. Im just kinda heartbroken that the guy would do me this way but im not suprised. Everyone ive tried to buy gamefowl from has tried to screw me. Really starting to piss me off. Not to mention giving gamefowl breeders a bad name. I understand the nature of the beast but ripping someone off never gets anyone anywhere. ******* chicken pedlers anyways.
its a shame your so far from me or I would give you a few birds. Getting ripped off sucks. Mistakes can happen but feather legs meant somebody just didn't care. Not sure how much you paid but if it was enough for you to feel truly screwed I would let em know about it.

By the way sdm111 is that bantam new? I remember u saying u liked some kind of bantam but can't remember what kind.

Am I assuming correctly our local trollers have run out games to show? We appear to have seen all the product lines you peddle from every angle imaginable. Why not get some games you do not already have? Possibly some where color is not so important. Then strive to educate.

typical response from envy. I'm sorry my fowl are so far superior than yours. The proof is that I assumed all chickens knew from instinct how to catch bugs, and reproduce. I'm sorry u had to teach yours.

The teaching effort is not directed at the birds by any measure, that is your interpretation of the effort.. Rather it is directed towards parties interested in their birds beyond simply looks and possibly strain name. Tone down fighting references as it will not benefit anyone's interest here.
