Maybe try fabric painters tarp... off white color and provides good shade. wont degrade as fast as plastic tarp

Its will get wet ... but it would probably drip down the side because of your dome. maybe mildew.. I dont have that problem here in drought country.

It was waterproof enough to prevent water from splashing through, but it would be soaked.

Yeah metal ain't that good unless it's totally open on three sides. I believe that's why so many guys lose birds in the heat.
I like the tarps now. They just need to go back to making them stronger. Cheap *sses

I have the same roofing on my wooden pens as you shubin. You ain't bending that around a dome.
