Be selective in your breeding tho... dont breed haphazardly and always get rid of lesser quality birds... This will ensure the American Gamefowl stays strong nationwide.

Dont start adding non-game bloodlines... @roosterhavoc

I Agree I Know For Sure My Two Games Breeders Are 100% Games, The Man Had Hens With Spurs As Long As The Roosters. First Time I Had Seen That. Blew My Mind. I Actually Got A Asil Hen From Him Too.

Or inferior ornamental chickens. Ha

yep! sounds like me when I first started... I am now addicted and have 50+ gamefowl.  I am very proud of my games, like most of the guys/gals on here.

I have a lot of hens that are double spurred. I like that trait.

Asil hen too? Thats cool are you going ot breed to same rooster? Picture?

Yeah I want some, & I could but I really haven't decided. Should I? Just for fun?
You have a lot of genetic diversity with your starting flock... you could breed any direction you like.

Mix and match different breeds and see what kind of style strikes your fancy... you could always breed back to the American side or breed more to the asil side... get rid of spangled gene or add it to all your fowl...

Basically you have different color paints, blend them together and see what kind of picture(s) you can create...

I mixed in different breeds to my whites... that picture of my white stag earlier was American x Spanish x Modern game cross...
