Gonna have to figure out a new system for covering the pens. I've had it. They just ain't lasting anymore. They changed the material, it's a softer more flexible texture and tears way too easily. I'll be searching for new ideas.

Dome or round pens? I used rolled rock roofing and it tears after awhile, used landscape cloth OK but rain leaks and black, seen allot of people use house wrap, I worked for a sign company and took home all the banner material they where going to toss and allot of big signs are made from a real durable banner material and it can't be reused, that stuff is the best. I've used it as roofs stretched over brood pens.

Shade cloth. UV resistant and tuff. Holds up at least 4 years without obvious signs of wear. Also easy in the night, especially when surveying pens at night from a distance with a spotlight.

I have a big shade cloth on my big pens. Problem is it obviously ain't waterproof.

Chickens, games in particular, should have little trouble with rain. Sun far more damaging.
Yeah I know but if I can prevent them from being exposed to the rain, sleet and snow all the better. Plus I like to keep the pens as dry as possible.

Don't think it's a good idea to have birds in Pens stuck getting rained on. But hey that's just me
