Oh don't be jealous here shortly it'll feel like by skin is melting off
These past two days have been rough. I got a few emergency dubbing to do tonight. Day and a half combs frostbitten and wattles swollen on a few birds.
With the windchills this morning was -15. Little chilly. Any colder for an extended period of time and I wouldn't raise as many birds.

400
I still have 17 that's not old enough to dub.

All mine are old enough except 1. The rest that need dubbing should have been done by now. That's my fault.

Do you use anything on them after dubbing. I used DE with this last batch. Don't know that it helped but didn't seem to hurt anything.

No sir, just a little blood stop only if needed. Saturday morning it was 38° and the wind would literally have everything clotted and sealed within a few seconds of putting them back in a pen.

Gotcha. I've had a hard time waiting for a good day to get em done. Some of it is the weather usually the rain. I have been wondering though about the temps being too low to dub. Everybody always talks about the heat curious about say temps around 12 degrees like it is now.

I've been on egg patrol all day. Won't take long for them to freeze. But I guess you guys would know about all that with your grass cutting, barbecues and fishing. Lol
