Kelso pullet layed her first egg today along with my grey/black cross pullet. Only a few left and they'll all be on board.

Hi! I have two game hens...but I do not know what they are. The people I got them from said they are Giras?(Sp) The closest I could find and yet still not figure out was Giro-hatch? No clue. I just know I like them.

It's only two of them...they're a bit shy and like to hide behind my rooster.

Giro is a Grey coloring like your rooster... Usually the hens have grey/silver/white feathers similar to the roosters.

Your hens are not grey colored, but they may be half Grey and just adopted colors from the other parent. They look healthy regardless of coloring.

cool that's awesome! Do game hens lay year around ? (I'm completely new to chickens).
Mine lay from February to about Sept or Oct. They take the winter off (unless you trick them with lights. which I dont do).

They are known for being broody.. Probably best breed for hatching and raising chicks. Good protective mothers.
