yeah you must well connected. I have been looking around online. not easy thats for sure.

Seems like I can purchase individual copies but I cannot find subscriptions to it.

I cannot find the online version on the other sites like Pinnon farms, red fox etc. Even tho they said its available for online viewing
Buy the individual copy and get your subscription from there. I'm sure you could use a few odds and ends from a gamefowl supply place anyway.

The name represents the style of the bird. Sweaters are generally much different than say a "ruble" hatch. Even now though most would say the rubles aren't the same as they used to be. Probably true with every single bird out there. The idea is you wouldn't expect to see a ruble hatch that's extremely high station that has more of an in air style. Just the opposite.
Besides just crossing two lines and calling it your own is fine and dandy but that's generally not how it was done. It would take years to get the cross as good consistently as the original two lines, it's assumed they were good to start with. From everything I've heard and read it usually takes multiple infusions of one line or another year after year with strict culling all but the best. Easier said than done. D*mn near impossible for the average backyard breeder with only a handful of birds. Could probably get there quicker the more you hatch, but obviously you'd be culling a whole lot more too.
agreed on everything you just said.

My statement was more addressed to the people (not you guys) who breed sub-par fowl only because they are "purebred" (or look like a purebred). And the guys who text/call me asking if I have any pure breeds. I think these people perpetuate the myth/demand for something that looks like a pure breed (regardless of ability, performance, health, etc).

I could easily sell my fowl for twice as much if I just called them pure hatch, or whatever they look like. But when I say I dont have purebreeds, sometimes I dont even get a response.

Y'all talking different classes of fowl from the guy that messes with a few v/s the generations of family that been raising one breed for 50 60 yrs

That's the difference in a 50 stag and a 500 stag same breed

There's game chickens then there's game chickens not all are equal

Only the people with experience really know. The guys who test and compete and learn from their loses/wins. All else is speculation.

I am not that person with gamefowl, all I know is backyard gamefowl and how well they perform under my conditions. which is comparable to "practice".

I have no illusions that my fowl are worth 500 lol. but I would still bet 500 on my fowl because i have seen other people yards and have some idea of how mine compare to theirs. My old neighbor who I got my original from, was extremely impressed with the offspring I gave him for the first 3-4 years, until I moved and stopped giving him my extras. Before I moved he came over and wrote down which hens he had given me based on the toe punches and asked about the which bloodlines I added. And of course he was giving my advise all along, which like you said is priceless.

Yeah I just have some for a hobby lil stress relief I'd never be in the same league as say flypen

I think I read where havoc said something about the Rubles, I'm breeding a trio for my buddy and seen a guy post pictures of his Rubles. He lives in California, I live in Louisiana, you can take the 2 cocks and put them on the same yard and swear they were bred from the same cock and hen. They literally look identical.
