that sucks I had a grey hen like that I should say I don't know if she killed them or the cock got in the nest with her and they smushed them. That's why I pull the hen when she goes broody. Well most of the time anyway I let 2 blues hatch with the cock in the pen this year and had no issues

Well I know for sure it was her cause they were peeping away under her after I pulled the cock and put him on a cord. Went in to lift weights and shower came back out and they were out from under her all pecked to h* ll. One had a broken beak too. I'm running a tight ship she's gone. At first I thought it was him but then I figured the chick would have been dead if he got ahold of it. Nonetheless I have plenty of birds and wouldn't give this one away. That isn't a trait I'm happy with. I might give her the benefit of the doubt if she was a pullet but she's a hen.
