Not applicable to me. Judges here say my birds do not fall under any of the recognized color types. That is even when many are colored like jumbo sized red jungle fowl. SOB's do not even know what wildtype looks like. Too wrapped up with banties in their panties. I am getting riled.

I sure dont i imagine that book may not have toppy in it ,my standards are healthy rooster and hens that raise great babys and dont have 3 eyes.

I have seen it and wondered if it was worth the read. As Centra pointed out I hear it is more geared towards the show ring, which I understand, but to me, the whole point of game fowl is performance, and their beauty is just a bonus. Do you recommend the book, Havoc?

Yes I think it's worth the money. It's geared for showing. The author emphasizes performance, proportion, station, straight prop toes, strong proportioned wings etc.. All which is geared toward performance. Overall the book and standards seem fine to me. The problem would be like centra said is the judges actually following the standards.
A perfectly proportioned strong, game black with possibly a white toenail should still win over a runty inbred black with everything perfect color wise.

haha nice ryhme.

The gamefowl shows I have been to have an open class for all other color variations. (not Red, not Grey). I dont know if the wildtype colors would fall under Open or Red class. Your fowl seem to have a bit of brown red from what I remember seeing which would probably put it in the open class.

Any good stags this year? Pictures?
