I suppose I'll have to agree. I have a stag running around my yard with a pretty big straight comb. I'm pretty sure he has mated every single layer hen I have. Most are old ladies, 6-7 yrs old. A leiper pullet and one particular black pullet showed him just how young he is still. He thinks he's big man on campus.Game hens will argue on the looks assessment. They think that big tall bright-red set of comb and wattles is super sexy. They tell me so.
I am not into the peacomb because in heterozygotes it often show asymmetry which to my eyes ugly unless removed. A nice straight comb so long as not big enough to make a sandwich out of is OK. Some kids like to play with the comb and wattles for some reason.
