I took pappq's post as to asking if tractor supply was a hit and miss source for chicks. It got me really upset and I jumped the gun
Oh I see. I buy some feed there sometimes like oats, and vetrx stuff like that. Mostly I got to a different feed place though, it's cheaper too.

me too, I can either go to Mississippi to tractor supply and get feed that's taxed 4% or a local feed store for better feed but taxed 10%

There are not a lot of strains you can ID just based on appearance. I am not one of the parties that can do so. It is easier to simply describe them based on color, station, weight, and for odd plumage modifications like a toppy or muff on throat.

More accurate ID possible by asking a knowledgable person that was in the chain of possession of the bird assuming they know with a fair degree of certainty the parentage of each bird. Latter point can mess things up over time. Outcrossing can also fudge things up.
