back 20 years ago most fowl i saw were tad over 5lbs and push 6 fast forward chickens are getting smaller ,just my Opinion.

All 3 of my Hatch families are 5 to 5.5 pounds, when I cross my Greys with any of the hatch I get crosses in the perfect size range. I like my pure broodcocks in the low to mid 4 range

Flypen, I bet one of your 4.2 pound greys would be a sight to see. I have not handled many greys, but is that a typical range for them?

I personally like the one where ones surrounded by 100's lol

Thanks. He looks good but what I like is his confidence and calmness. He followed me all around the yard til I had to pen him. He went after his pop first chance he got when I had him out on a cord.

You are welcome, I would have guessed some Red Quill too. Sounds like my favorite blue stag this year, he is very calm. I can walk in the pen and pick him right up. He is so calm, but he has some personality too. Bit me once, when I broke up a fight, but never again.
