The night before dubbing him it was a full moon. lol Does that mean he'll be a werewolf? jk   I am not a superstitious person and have a hard time believing stuff like that. Seemed to work fine and he is healing nicely. Thanks tho. I'd be curious to hear the details

I think the voodoo part has to do with occasional deathloss associated with dubbing. Loosing birds we want to avoid and when you do not have a firm handle on how to prevent, then you grab at straws coming up with ways to avoid problems. For me, cool morning and night before, bird a little dehydrated and as little stress on bird before procedure as possible.

It was hot when I dubbed and I worried about it. So we held his legs and undercarriage in some cold water for about 5-10 mintues to cool the blood... Placed a feather on his head and some blue-cote afterwards and he was good to go.

It amazed me when i cut by the signs , check it out read on it ,, ive seen almost no blood at the cut ,i waited along time till it was right and it worked.

I have a feeling it is like the placebo effect. or the power of prayer... Its in your mind.

Thinking you are doing it at the right time gives feeling that you are doing it right... it may even give you boost in confidence and/or focus (because you don't want to defy the signs by doing it wrong).

Zodiac signs are the same way... people read these personalities that are associated with their birthdays and find ways to fit that mold. Even though all people have all the personality traits, just express them at different times and levels depending on the situation.

Its nice to have somebody/something tell you what is "right" when you are unsure.
