2nd day a hawk killed three.. Up against the cage with talons in and trying to pull them out.

So I changed their cage to something the hawk couldnt get into... and I left for work... came home to find my dog(s) had torn open wire and found 3 dead quail... rest are missing (presumed eaten).

That sure sucks! Losses are never fun, but that is insult on top of injury.

On another note, I assume you're fence is battery operated at night and solar charged during the day

I used to use solar chargers, but they never seemed to last very long for me and the really good one's were quite pricey. Now I just use a cheap 5 or 10 mile fencer designed for battery power. They certainly have some bite to them. A nice blue arch of about an 1/8". Suppose a plug in one would be even better, but too far from the house.

Thanks to the oversized Oompa Loompa we went from the 2nd lowest gas tax to the 6th highest. What a pos!

I am sure they will do some good with the extra revenue. lol

yeah if I were to go solar I would definitely build the panels instead of buy pre made. A lot cheaper and u can build exactly what you're specific set up would require. I think a blue 1/8" arch would suffice lol

Nah it just cracked across the middle. Still usable for now. I break em like that in winter all the time. They ain't the best for breaking ice either.

I use a pushpole way more than a paddle I rather use it its 4 piece 6' each section with a duck bill foot. Much easier maneuvering to me any way
