My 4 yr old found out tonight why I tell him 100 times a day not to touch the fence.
He was sitting on the outside playing with a feather while I was filling water cups. He said he touched it with the feather lol. "Something hit me" couldn't figure out why his leg hurt when he touched it with his hand. Lol

My kids get into fence as well. Son that just turned five knows it very well only getting shocked when he does not pull hens pants up when crossing low spot. He also knows how to short it by laying a lawn chair on it. The three year old daughter get zapped then comes at me all in a huff. She has an attitude anyway.

may have but mine do not ,, Old timers thought a Leghorn was traipsing through the Barnlot ,,,Truly i have no issues if they are Bates they are Proven fowl ,but growing up days before the internet I was told too watch for certain characteristic s in Gamefowl and since i was an eager young chap ,my uncles tried to give me some warning signs to be aware of ,,,since chicken peddlers abound ,, so yes now that i have the internet i have seen some breeders have those traits , me ill pick traits that i like but white ears because of my locale i wont raise any.

Jungle fowl have white earlobes. People have breeding gamefowl longer than leghorns. Ear lobe color don't mean a thing. Hokus pokus. If the bird don't quit what difference does it make what color it is? I don't subscribe to anything I hear. I believe with my eyes. 75% of people are full of sh*t anyway. It's just a personal preference type thing.
